Five Overnight deliveries - Zero arrivals

I’ve been trying to buy a birthday present for a mate.

This is what I’ve paid for in the past week, plus overnight delivery:

Asos mohair jersey - stolen within minutes of delivery to the wrong place

Next Linen shirt - out of stock. No refund cos they’ll ‘deliver it at some point’

Asos mohair jersey (again) - not sent yet two days on

Next linen dress - Royal Mail can’t find address (deliver there daily). Returned to sender.

Next shirt different colour - not sent yet.

Suggestions, anyone?

Get things delivered to a locker?

Wonderbug81 · 14/06/2026 10:45

First escalate complaint to customer service. If that doesn't work for Next, look at CEO emails website. It has emails for all CEOs in the UK. I've emailed a few times and specialist complaints teams take over.

Excellent! Thank you.

I know I’ll forget to chase the refunds in six weeks, who has endless funds/time for that caper.

They won’t let you deliver to a locker but I’ll call them & ask them to think again.

Any thoughts on a reliable seller?

Go to a shop and buy something there. We all moan constantly about how crap deliveries are. We should vote with our feet and revive the high streets while we are at it.

Click and collect?

EveryKneeShallBow · 14/06/2026 12:36

Same here. Even food deliveries take at least two days, with express delivery. Utterly pointless. Evri wait until they’re coming for a few deliveries so it can be up to a week. I wouldn’t mind if we were on a remote island or something but we’re only four miles from the main sorting office.

mylifeisexams · 14/06/2026 12:37

This sounds unusual, are you in a remote location or something?

Can you just go to the shops and buy her a nice candle or something. Sounds like a massive hassle and what if it doesn’t fit her, one of you will need to go through the rigmarole of returning etc.

Gettingbysomehow · 14/06/2026 20:04

Evri never delivered 10 parcels of mine so I got all my money back from the companies eventually. Then the parcels turned up and I had to send them all back. Doing all of this nonsense in my lunchbreak at work.
They are well known for it. I wont buy anything thats delivered by evri now.

Winederlust · 14/06/2026 20:08

Just cancel the next orders? They can't deliver something that's out of stock!
