Calling all Raffia Wedge Fans

Following on from another thread were raffia wedges are ridiculed and called a S&B crime.

I’m up for them and don’t care about the brand, as long as they are not open toed.

As a shorty, it’s a way to wear heels without sinking into the grass at an outdoor event.

I love them on other women but they turn my ankles 😕

That's not a raffia wedge. It is an espadrille wedge.

I think they are lovely. DD is 18 and wears them at 6th form with her summer outfits.

I shall be wearing a pair for speech day.

I love espadrilles, sadly have to wear flat ones nowadays.

M&S from years back. Comfy, smart (😉), and they get pulled out every summer.
I also have a pair of dressy, black and white T.bar Castañer ones.

I love a Unisa wedge, super comfortable as are my Ugg ones.

I don't wear them but respect for those who do, they are timeless and may move in and out of 'fashion'. WRT the earlier thread, I think the British should be proud of their distinctive wedding style and not worry about being 'dated'.

They are mainstream fashion, not dated.

I have 2 m and s pairs, I am super short and they are the easiest heels to wear and still be several inches shorter than everyone else
...but i dont really have any business being on a style forum, I just wear what I think suits me
