Bra size help

Posting following on from the no one is a 34c thread, I was looking at my 36c bras….

If I measure myself I am 32 around the chest and 37 around the bust.

But if I measure my 36c bra, even at fully stretched it is only 32 inches on the band.

I’m struggling to see how a smaller band will allow me to breathe, and not have hideous fat rolls where it digs in.

Can someone advise!

Your figures give a 32DD
Sister sizes are 34D and 36C
The 32DD will have the same cup volume as your 36C but will give more support under the bust

Thanks for explaining. I can’t imagine a 32 inch band doing up. Like I say, the 36 inch band is only 32 inches when I measure it

Some bra brands size bands differently - the best advice is to try them on. My ribcage measures 32 and in some brands I am a 32 D, in others a 34 C.
