Lightweight, waterproof trainers??

Can can anyone recommend trainers , suitable for Summer, lightweight, but most of all WATERPROOF! I'm sick of arriving back from walking the dog with sodden trainers/socks! I have few heavy options that I wear in the Winter but would like something more Summery looking but will still largely keep feet dry. I'm so sick of this rain!!!!!

Following!

For long walks my feet are happiest in the running/ gym style trainers which are fashionable right now. But I wish you could get that style in leather.

I’m also watching this one. I went to to Sorrento a couple of years ago and it poured down the whole week. I spent the whole time in walking boots because they were the only really waterproof footwear I had. A lovely lightweight, waterproof pair of trainers is what I’ve been looking out for ever since.

Try
Saucony Ride TR2 Goretex
Brooks Ghost Goretex
On Cloudrunner 2 Goretex
Merrell Antora Waterproof
The Saucony Ride TR2 is probably the most versatile, if you like the colours. The Merrell is for trails, so less suitable for general schlepping around (the outsole will wear down quite quickly on tarmac). Brooks Ghost won't be as grippy, as it's a road shoe, but it's probably available in more colours as they sell loads to people who use them for walking rather than running. The On Cloudrunner is the most lifestyle fashiony and probably also most expensive.

I'd look on Sportsshoes.com.

New Balance usually do waterproof versions of quite a few running shoes, but they tend to look more obviously running shoe-like rather than everyday/fashion. If you don't mind the running shoe look then the Hoka Challenger Goretex might be worth a look, especially if you fancy a funky colour scheme (but get wide version unless you want squashed toes).

Adidas terrex.,the gortex ones
Excellent on a recent rainy forest holiday

I’m looking for similar but for city use. Anything waterproof is too hot. Anything lighter is suede or mesh.

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'm looking for a light pair which is difficult to get in waterproof material. On Cloud 6 looks closest to what I'm looking for ....anyone have experience about how waterproof they truly are?

Just beware that rain water can still get in the top of your shoes (where your foot goes).

Salomon XT-6 Goretex

In the meantime trying a waterproofing spray. Use two coats though.

I finally came across these Ecco runners. They may not be very fashionable but having got soaked on my walk today and yesterday , I can say they are lightweight , comfortable and most importantly waterproof!!!
