I am going to an Aldi tomorrow, not somewhere I can usually get to and have heard that some of their beauty stuff is actually very good.
Any recommendations please?

Have you looked on the Special Buys?
They don't have things in stock when you want them !

I buy the roll on antiperspirant Invisible (high end glamour,me )

They have the cleansing balm shoing in stock (Elemis dupe I think , not tried it)

The cleansing balm is great, I use it as a dupe for the Emma Hardie Moringa Balm. Anyone know if it’s in-store right now?

Gowlett · 03/06/2026 18:24

70, you’ve just said so! I’ll pop into ALDI

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 03/06/2026 18:24

Their caviar day and night cream is lovely and actually hydrating.

MotherWol · 03/06/2026 19:16

I really like their cleansing balm, it compares well to pricier ones I've tried, including Elemis.

LoveHearts69 · 03/06/2026 19:53

Agree with the cleansing balm! I also actually really like their mascara but haven’t seen that in store for ages!

Cyclingmummy1 · 03/06/2026 19:54

The facial oil with turmeric. I picked up 4 bottles for £2.50 each a couple of weeks ago.

GloiredeDijon · 04/06/2026 06:55

Thanks all who replied.
I do use cleansing balm so will look out for that.

Personal favourites the almond bath and shower range, the concealer, collagen lip thing! Whenever these are in stock I load up!

Twilightstarbright · 04/06/2026 07:56

Caviar moisturisers
i love the kids sensitive 50spf
Cleansing balm that is a big tube and comes with a cloth.
Ive picked up nice serums in the special buy section.

myladyjane · 04/06/2026 07:57

If they still have it I really liked the tinted moisturiser. Annoyingly I missed it in my local store.

also I got the 14 quid hairdryer and it’s really good. I needed a new one and it’s easy to use and powerful (I have a bob though)

A friend recently bought a load of hair treatments which are a dupe for Color Wow and says they're great - you'll know which ones they are as the packing is not a subtle dupe! There is a honey hair oil they seem to do sporadically which really suits my hair, so whenever I see it I buy a few bottles, but I don't think you can really plan in advance with Aldi unfortunately as a lot of the beauty stuff is in the middle aisles and very unpredictable as to availability. I'd just grab everything you see, frankly, as I've not had anything outright bad, just a few things I wouldn't bother with again but still used up or palmed off on DP (who has less sensitive skin so happily uses whatever random serum or moisturiser I don't want to use!).

More generally, there are household things we like and go specifically to Aldi for - toilet paper, cat litter and dry food, baby wipes, cereal, most of the bakery section...

Calypsocuckoo · 04/06/2026 11:40

I love the vitamin c serum, the best one I have used. It’s not a special buy but it’s in the skincare section in toiletries. I buy two at a time in case it’s not in for a while.

Secretseverywhere · 04/06/2026 12:04

I am a fan, stuff isn’t in stock year round so you need to keep an eye out. Like others have said the cleansing balm, I also rate the hot cloth cleanser, they do a concealer in a gold pen ( dupe for touché eclait) the bb tinted moisturiser. Something I bought recently was supreme uv ultra moisturising face spf 50 it’s a dupe for something pricy and it’s really effective in this recent heat wave. Slightly tinted but not obviously so when on.

I had a quick Aldi Stop (not for Beauty Items though )
They had the balm cleanser , a spray (like Colour Wow ) some Sol DeJaneiro type spray .

I am always gobsmacked at the dupes , how close the packaging is to the product they are copying . !

They got into trouble with M&S over Cuthbert / Colin, and turned it into a viral social media campaign. Very clever!

LIDL do an amazing l’Occitane dupe range. The hand cream is great, a fraction of the original.

JamMakingWannaBe · 04/06/2026 23:13

Another user of the cleansing balm here, so thanks for the head's up it's back in stock.
Agree with the randomness of the middle aisle - about 3 years ago I bought DD a dupe of a DrPawPaw lip balm that she LOVED. I've never seen it since.

TheGrimSmile · 05/06/2026 08:08

I want to get hold of the Lancome mascara dupe since I found out that Lancome still test on animals! I just wish they did all the cosmetics as standard rather than special buys.
