I've solved my manky heels!

JunesDunes · 02/06/2026 17:02

I had heels like hooves. It didnt matter what I did or used. Now for the first time in my life, I have finally got pink, smooth and soft heels!

I know it's a common question on here.

It's taken 3 weeks so it's not a quick fix. I used Dr Scholl perfect pedi a few times a week. The first few times were pretty hardcore but now it's just a quick go around so takes a couple of minutes.

Most mornings I put body moisturiser on them. Then every night I'd use Flexitol. The one that says it works in 3 days sinks in better than the 1 day. I'm now alternating the flexitol with the multitude of other foot lotions I have.

It's this pedi perfect (worth shopping around).

Doing exactly the same myself plus a foot peel from one of the cheap shops.
Hopefully I can wear sandals without embarrassment.

I'm a veteran of old terrible feet and I find any of the scholl creams as good as flexitol and definitely better than Margaret Dabbs

Joolay · 02/06/2026 18:16

But you have to use it every night

Thanks for the recommendation.
I had the flexitol from my heels cracking as the flexitol fixes that quick quickly. I have a million different creams that I need to work through before I buy scholl. 🤣
I do have the Margaret dabbs from the liberty box but but didn't do anything. I'll try again now I have nice feet.

Yy same re box

thistimelastweek · 02/06/2026 18:49

OP, when you apply flexitol at night, do you wear socks to bed?

RetainersinSpainnotontheplane · 02/06/2026 19:11

@thistimelastweek not the OP but I’ve been trying to revive my hobbit feet and using Flexitol. Yes to socks at night otherwise I find it all rubs off on the sheets. I specifically use some Nike trainer socks that are almost a towelling material because if I use normal ones I wake up with fluff plastered to my feet.

fruitypancake · 02/06/2026 19:29

Vaseline is just as good or better and much much cheaper- mine were horrendous but Vaseline with socks every night and they are smooth as anything now

TheAmazingShrinkingWoman · 02/06/2026 19:33

The Aldi version of Norwegian formula hand cream. Life changing and bloody cheap.

CurlyKoalie · 02/06/2026 19:41

Palmers cocoa butter. The solid stuff. Smells great.

Sometimes but I sleep hot and generally have my feet stuck out to keep cool. 🤣

If you use Flexitol , apply to damp skin, ie washed and rough dry . Melt in your hands , apply , rub in well.
Cotton socks help it absorb with the heat and stop it going on your sheets .
Flexitol has the active ingredient urea which helps the water absorbtion.
Vaseline is a barrier balm

I use O'Keefes Foot Cream and socks

Safarisagoody · 02/06/2026 20:24

Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream, solved fhe issue very quickly for me. Also got rid of fhe crepyness on my chest.

HaveYourPetSpayedOrNeutered · 02/06/2026 20:33

How do you know when to stop though OP - you could go from Lovely feet to I’m bleeding quite quickly, no?

I’ve got the 1 day Flexitol unfortunately.

B0D · 02/06/2026 20:38

I have a tool like this I got from Lidl. It’s the best thing I have but the power seems weaker now I’ve had it a few years even with new batteries. Wonder if there’s a mains powered or rechargeable version

BatFinkk · 02/06/2026 20:42

I solved my hard heel skin too but with a method I’d not considered before! I lost weight and reduced my BMI from 36 to 23.

and since then - heels never get cracked at all. I must have a google to see if there’s a correlation but I assume there must be

Divebar2021 · 02/06/2026 20:51

I accidentally solved mine by a mistaken purchase of Glycolic acid on Amazon. I thought I was buying it from the Ordinary but it was a dupe at 7% and was too much for my face. Not too much for my feet though. I use it 2 or 3 times a week and hard skin begone.

MsGreying · 02/06/2026 20:53

I have ingredients for beard balm... Could it make heel balm too?

ItsPeggyOlson · 02/06/2026 21:04

@Divebar2021 do you have a link please? Sounds like a happy accident I wouldn’t mind trying.

MyEasterBonnet · 02/06/2026 21:31

I’ve got a similar foot file, but it was a tenner on Amazon. My feet are amazing after using it!

SkippitySkoppity · 02/06/2026 21:43

This stuff is ace, and only costs around a fiver. Rub it on liberally, pop a pair of socks on and leave overnight.

I've solved my manky heels!
