keeps popping up at me online - has anyone used it? Just wondering if it’s a complete rip off or actually a wonder product?! It’d be great if it was the latter….

Anyone? Is it just me the ads keep popping up at??

Look on trustpilot. People say it turns your hair ginger. Ads popping up over and over again is likely to be a bad sign.

Thanks! It’s driving me nuts. But I like the idea. Was thinking it must be shite though or everyone would be using it!

I keep seeing it too. I'm tempted but I suspect it might be like the Plantur stuff and that leaves my hair claggy.

VeganSteakAndFries · 04/06/2026 06:46

Hmmm. I’m less inclined to try it now.

I haven’t used that one but I did use another colour depositing shampoo in the past and I could definitely feel the ‘coating’ in an unpleasant way.

I really like Leganza colouring conditioner. I’m allergic to hair dye and this stuff has been a saviour for me. I leave it on for an hour
and it covers my grey. Available on Amazon.

What colour did you buy @TheFormidableMrsC?

I’m naturally dark so I use Bitter Chocolate and sometimes Cafe Latte which is cooler. I have it on subscription as cheaper.

I succumbed to the advertising and have a bottle of the polar and used for the first time just now. It was fairly easy to apply but I needed a lot more then the 2-3 pumps claimed and it took quite a long time to rinse out. I've got some staining on my nails (I used gloves for application but not rinsing). I’ve just blow dried my hair and I’d say mixed views on coverage. There are definitely still some grey strands but that could be my application. I think my hair feels dryer (despite adding in conditioner). I’d give it another go in 4-6 weeks as I have the bottle but I’m a bit meh tbh.

I use a Clairol semi permanent to cover my greys. It fades, so grey roots/growing out are less obvious. Maybe worth a try?

Thanks for the other ideas. My Leganza has arrived so will give that a go and report back 💆🏻‍♀️

Yes please- I’d be interested to know how you find that one.

I hope it works well for you. I wash (but don’t condition) and leave it on for an hour or so. Make sure you wipe any smudges around your hairline or ears because it really stains. Rinse out with cool water. It always leaves my hair in lovely condition.
