Dressing for a heatwave - teacher edition

Inspired but the banning of shorts and skirts thread.

What would you expect a secondary school teacher to wear during a heatwave. I’ve been teaching a Loooong time but it’s a weird set of things that need to be accounted for.

it needs to be modest but to what extent
I needs to stylish but not flashy - or I would like to be
it needs to be cool as classrooms are the hottest places this side of hell
easy to wash
Shoes- are sandals appropriate.
Men still have to wear ties

we have a dress code but it’s basically no denim and no revealing clothing or very casual clothing.

are summer dresses ok? Sleeveless tops? patterned trousers? Cropped trousers? Culottes? Bare legs? Short dresses? Linen trousers.

interested in the opinions of non teacher parents as well as teachers.

usually I wear midi dresses with black tights or barrel trousers top and cardigan, or woolly short skirt with a jumper and tights.

I’ve lost 5 stone on MJ. So I need some inspo. I can still wear the barrel trousers with cool top. My legs will remain covered! My knees look like the Mitchell brothers

Our dress code at school was no denim, no trainers, no spaghetti straps, boobs and bum covered (it was put more professionally than that!) and closed toe shoes.
I wore a lot of Boden dresses in the warmer months, flats always (we had runners), culottes too.

I work in a secondary . We are no trainers, no denim, No strappy tops, no cropped tops. No revealing clothes. No logos. Tattoos covered.

i have some nobody’s child dresses with capped sleeves. I wear linen or thin trousers with light t shirts with a capped sleeve. Floaty skirt with t shirt tucked in.
