Just saw these. I might buy some to wear upon my bicycle 😄

I might have to sprinkle some cologne onto my hankie, OP, these garments appear to be quite flimsy. I recommend a stiff tweed for bicycling.

'This item does not include an inner lining'

Bleugh. Polyester as well.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 28/05/2026 19:06

I was aghast when leggings/footless tights/whatever you call them came back in.

I thought the trend would come and go.

They stayed put!

She doesn’t look very happy about her romantic situation.

Tinytwinle · 28/05/2026 19:14

I hope the massive shoulder pads never come back.

Qualitypinnacle · 28/05/2026 19:32

I'm guessing they're going to be worn as outerwear like satin French knickers currently are

So is Zara experimenting with ‘trafficking chic’ styles now?

GardenTable · 28/05/2026 19:47

They remind me of those festoon blinds everyone had in the 1980s.

Ew.

Mind, I’m quite partial to long johns myself. I’ve been wearing those culotte petticoats, and various chubrub shorts, and once you wear them sans underwear, they are so cool and comfortable! I find the edges of normal pants really irritating in hot weather. Bloomers are the way to go.

but not sheer beribboned ones that make you look miserable.

faithfultoGeorgeMichael · 28/05/2026 20:35

I am in a weird 'bloomers' loop on Vinted - a wild ride at times!! Lots of 'vintage' and shortie bloomers on offer - fuck knows why, I blame Doen and Sea New York (who I love and do not as far as I know sell bloomers!!)

Dearg · 28/05/2026 21:02

Good grief, reminds me of my P4 teacher - round glasses, grey bun, bloomers which were on show as she cycled to school.

She was a tartar; a true spinster who had to introduce the concepts of ‘Living and Growing ‘ to a bunch of 8 year olds. Many of whom lived on farms, and were pretty au fait with the concepts.

Anyway, I digress . Those are blooming’ awful.

Is that a thing? Like a sort of flouncy superman over some other more substantial garment, or just on their own with fanjo potentially on display if there is a gust of wind???

I thought these were bonkers when I first saw them but I'm warming to them, especially the navy and black.

Does anyone remember Andy Pandy?

IDontHateRainbows · 28/05/2026 21:09

It'll be bustles next. Or i could just use my lardy arse instead...

Lambsear · 28/05/2026 21:12

I really feel fashion is now pure fancy dress - it’s great in one way if you are really creative because anything really does go & express yourself why not. But on the other hand for the regular middle aged frump like me it just looks farcical & ridiculous. As does my trying to wear anything remotely fashionable atm with a shape & size really not built for today’s trends.
I will throw myself upon a chaise & fan myself in angst while the youngsters cavort around the parlour in their bloomers lol

giemepeace · 28/05/2026 21:12

The model’s face says it all. ‘Are you fucking kidding me’

I assume they're wearing standard knickers underneath!

They look like clown outfits.
