Help needed for " posh frocks"

I have just started a job that requires me to attend charity fundraising balls/ awards evenings and I have absolutely nothing to wear!
I'm size 14 early 50's and suit blue/ green shades. I prefer sleeved dresses.I don't have a huge budget but would appreciate some recommendations for websites to peruse as it's a long time since I had the opportunity to dress up.
