Archies Flip Flops. What do you think?

Hello all.

I am being bombarded by adverts for Archies flip flops at the mo. I’m tempted because I am finding flip flops increasingly hard to walk in / uncomfortable.

But it seems a lot of money for a pair of flip flops!

Does anyone have them? Would you recommend?

I bought some last year. The soles are very comfortable and supportive however despite stretching the straps dig in and are uncomfortable. I have narrow feet so not sure why this is happening.

I had to break mine in a little when I first got them and then again when I went on holiday recently but once that's done they are super comfy. I have very wide feet, high insteps and need the arch support. I assume the straps are tight to make them fit snugly and reduce the amount you grip with your toes. I have to pull them on, can't just slide my feet into them. Very happy with them overall.

I love their slides. Having had terrible plantar fasciitis they're a godsend and I can walk for ages in them.
The flip-flops are a tighter fit but I find them good. Personally for flip flops I like a wider strap so favour chunkier brands like Reef Fannings.

Love their flip flops I’ve been wearing my current pair for 3 years now, I’ve just ordered a new pair!

BitOutOfPractice · 26/05/2026 15:20

Thank you. I would worry about them digging in, especially if my feet are hot (like now!)

I have 3 pairs. No wearing in required really. They have overtaken Havainas as my flip flop of choice.

I live in my Gumbies all summer - I've had them years and years and they just keep going.

HoldMyWine · 26/05/2026 15:44

I have a pair, they are really comfortable and as supportive as my Birkenstocks.

I’m hovering over the buy now button!!

I have narrow feet and plantar fasciopathy and I absolutely love them! I have 2 pairs and wouldn't be without them. Mine were super comfy from the start and didn't need any adjustment. The arch support took a day or two to get used to but all good now

Newyearsameolme · 26/05/2026 16:53

I’m in the same predicament, OP! So tempted to buy but have been holding out for any kind of discount/free delivery/new customer type offer to reduce the cost slightly - they don’t seem to exist though!

I have flip flops and slides to wear round the house. So comfortable!

I love mine. I have always worn Havaianas and loved them… so I hovered over the ‘buy now’ button for ages too!
The Archies are more comfortable… you do have to wear them in. When I first tried them on I wasn’t sure… then I wore them around the house for a few days and was completely sold.
I wear a 5.5 in trainers and a 37/38 in Havs… I went for a size 6 in Archies and they are perfect. I’ve got quite wide feet.
Just deciding on my next pair… I think the pink! I got the lilac originally. Or maybe mint!

I lived in mine last year! The sole is super comfortable. It took me a few goes to get the straps right (you stretch them out if you want them less tight) and then they were brilliant all Summer. I have narrow, shallow(?) feet btw.
I got them out again on Friday and walked around the shops (for hours 🙄) on Saturday and now have a mark on each foot where the strap has rubbed. I assume that months in the shoe cupboard means the straps have gradually shrunk back so I will need to stretch them again…..
I still think they’re the most comfortable flip flops ever and will probably buy a second pair this year.

I also have 3 pairs in different colours and my DH who has terrible feet and has spent enormous amounts of money trying different sandals/slides/flip flops is absolutely delighted with their slides.

Never heard of them. May buy.

Just to add, I got mine because I've had plantar fasciitis in the past too, and had been warned off normal flipflops by my podiatrist so hadn't had any for several years, it's great to have found an option that works.

I live in my Archies, absolutely brilliant. They are available on Amazon for the same price which may be appealing if you have Prime for free delivery?
