Sandals for wide feet?

cloudtreecarpet · 25/05/2026 18:19

I have wide feet. Most sandals have straps right across what is the widest part of my foot or a narrow foot bed that means my foot spills over at the side.

I am done with Birkenstocks and Saltwater sandals and hanker after something prettier but comfy.

Any suggestions for other brands or styles to try? Or is it another summer in trainers for me?

Dune do some reasonable wide feet styles

New look and JD Williams have loads of wide fit sandals annoyingly not in half sizes but i can usually get away with a 5 in sandals.

New Look - gorgeous wide fit sandals not too expensive 👌

Teva Tirra sandals

I wear men's. But I wear walking sandals so they only have to be practical.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had forgotten about New Look, I had wide sandals from there a few years ago.
Will.check out the others people have mentioned

I’ve got some nice ones from Seqwl who sell on asos. They’re slider style though, if that matters

Thanks. I'm not a fan of sliders but will check out the brand you mention.

My left little toe always pokes out at the side with any sandal. My old butter soft M and S ones are biting the dust. Just bought some from Dune at Next and they have promise - very soft and comfortable. I think they were regular but they do wide fit. My feet are narrow at the back and wide at the front

These are really comfy and fit my very wide feet well. Onto my 3rd pair now. I’m very wide across the mid foot, less so at the toes.

Edited

My feet are exactly the same!
Must try some Dune sandals as others have mentioned them too.
Thanks for the tip.

Hope you're not disappointed with the Dune ones - I had a pair last year and had to return them. M & S did some fabulous wide fit sandals a few years ago, and I bought them in every colour - similar to the Dune but with three small flowers along the central strap. Only the cream ones left and they're splitting - don't know what I shall do (only being a bit dramatic!!!) Grin

Just checked and it was wide fit that I bought.

I know what you mean though, it's so hard to find nice but comfortable sandals when you have awkward feet!

There was one magical summer a few years ago when I found two gorgeous, comfy pairs (one from Next, one from ?) and it was like winning the lottery!
Stupidly I didn't stock up and buy spares and they have long since fallen apart

I think I have been searching for that holy grail ever since. 😔😂

I'm the same with my M and S ones which I mistakenly thought were from FatFace when I looked to replace them . It was a 'comfortable soles' brand they have stopped doing. Twits.

Piggywaspushed · Yesterday 22:41

I gave up tonight and went back to my M and S ones because the Dune ones were rubbing my heel . However, I do think they'll stretch.

I have literally walked miles and miles in the M and S ones, all round NYC last summer. I do have some Hush Puppies with soft leather that are also pretty good - they are orange but think they come in normal colours. But I find their footbeds a bit slimy.

Oh I feel your pain!! I am having the same issue (with a slight bunion and high instep). New look do have some nice ones, I just got a lovely dark chocolate brown pair with adjustable straps in wide fit. Only issue is the footbed causes my feet to burn!! Next seem to have some nicer styles. And I know they might look a bit older, but Hotter are meant to be amazing
