What style of shorts is fashionable in 2026?

I need several new pairs of shorts but I'm not sure what is fashionable these days.

Im thinking of shorts for my holidays, being out and about.

Any ideas?

I’m seeing lots of longer length shorts on holiday, but also the classic chino colour with a white shirt and tan accessories. The denim Skorts that Zara do every year are easy to wear too.

For my holiday in a few weeks I’ve mostly gone for elasticated or drawstring waist shorts. I’ve got a mix of vests and t-shirts to wear with them. These are my favourite so far -

I would love to be able to wear the skorts. I really like them but in my 60s I just cant wear them my upper legs arent good enough.
I wear white capri pants or llama leggings short joggers.

These apparently. I really dont know what to make of them. And why do they have poppers like a romper suit?
