Say if you wanted to buy a new one and not get something from your wardrobe

I've recently been to a wedding & just had a look through Vinted. I found a brand new sleeveless peach dress from Principles for £3. Unfortunately it was actually cold on the day but when we were inside the dress was perfect

I’d look at this by Never Fully Dressed - and then remember that I won’t go braless at my age/shape

If it were a very special wedding, e.g. if I were going to be mother of the groom, I might go back and buy a late 1940s, new look dress in blue Moygashel linen that I tried on a couple of weeks ago. (Sorry no pics.) I can't afford it and I don't even have the space for it (the skirt is massive). Plus it would probably overshadow not only the bride but her mother too so no-one would ever speak to me again and S&B would cancel me. (But I'd have a spectacular dress to console me Smile)

I thought this was lovely in the shop. A bit dark but I really like navy blue on me and I would bling it up.

Sorry I don’t think it posted

I’ve had to do this for BIL’s wedding in June. I originally wanted to wear an Erdem pencil dress but realised I couldn’t ceilidh in it. It’s a grand Irish celebration and I’m wearing this: www.libertylondon.com/uk/ophelia-lace-fawn-pink-midi-dress-000864732.html?queryID=6ae78cc0856910a047022924c6a412ce&objectID=R717380006&indexName=production_emea_libertyltd_demandware_net__liberty__products__default&_gl=1203tot_upMQ.._gs*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjw2rrQBhBuEiwAarLWHXipqXQ0cCKfNdGMhATQglh8909-vDx4ZwmaZMbM8YVdV1BdWGvqmRoCHuUQAvD_BwE&gbraid=0AAAAAD4IbFFT3SnscTCcagA38aggfed8j

Fab @BlossomBlossomBlossom - thank you!

'My' dress also had sleeves to the elbow (which I still insist on, I can't get rid of that mindset) and huge, pointy military looking shoulders which balanced out the big pouffy skirt and made it look less skittish, if that makes sense. I can't stop thinking about it but, even if I had the money, I'd have to get rid of about half a dozen outfits to make space for it.
