Leave-in conditioner or hair mask for fine wavy frizzy hair?

I’m looking for either a hair mask or a leave‑in conditioner (not a rinse‑out product).

My hair is thin, frizzy, and gently wavy.

Most ads show results going from frizzy to straight, but I want to reduce frizz without weighing my hair down or losing my natural wave 😁 I don't style my hair. I just let it air-dry.

Ideally, the product should have little to no scent. I also need to avoid minty ingredients, as they irritate my scalp.

🙏

Color Wow One minute transformation works for me. It’s a repeat purchase!

I like L’Oréal Professionnel Absolut Repair hair mask.

Philip Kingsley pre shampoo mask or K18

Thanks 😁 Some great options! And the more expensive ones are also available in smaller sizes, so that I can try them without breaking the bank 😅

i keep coming back to this - I use it as my regular conditioner, sometimes I do a longer mask with it. Great stuff!

should add - I always x2 shampoo with a scalp cleansing one like Aveeno Apple Cider Vinegar or Dercos Anti Hair loss, followed by a REALLY moisturising Pureology Hydrate before moving on to conditioner.

I am hearing great things about the new garnier keratin products. Think there is a leave in and also a spray but it needs to be heat activated which is no good to me as i too air dry. Garnier also do method air dry cream which is on my list of things to try once i make space in my cupboards and use up the section of boots i seem to have aquired in my search for holy grail products 😳

Quite a few recommendations for Garnier products! They’re on sale at Boots at the moment 😊

@AnchorWHAT You got me curious about the Air Dry one, but it seems to be for proper curls and coils. It’s likely too heavy for my waves 😅

All the Garnier ones are great, and cheap. I use the Charlotte Rich Wavy Girl method and these are recommended as silicone free.
She also suggests other steps (this is a heavier conditioner and I use a lighter Faith in Nature one for alternate washes, I only wash twice a week).

I’d personally lean more toward a lightweight leave-in cream rather than a heavy mask if you’re air drying. Heavy masks can flatten waves really quickly on finer hair. Ingredient-wise, amodimethicone, panthenol, hydrolyzed proteins, oat extract, glycerin, or small amounts of argan. Since your scalp reacts to minty ingredients, definitely avoid strong essential oils like peppermint or menthol-heavy formulas.

Frizz-ease leave-in conditioner is my go-to.

@curiousbyprocess0614 Thanks for the ingredient list! Very much appreciated ☺️
