Slip

I’ve ordered a full length net maxi dress which needs a slip. How long should it be? What colour? Where from?

M&s, they have different lengths.
Although I am not sure how to measure for one.

Do you have a picture of the dress? I was also going to suggest M&S.

Depends on the nature of the netting, and the effect you want. If you want the lower part of the dress to be see through then get a slip to just above your knees. or shorter if you prefer.

Your skin colour (or the closest match) if you don’t want to distract from the dress. (But I’ve sometimes been known to wear a brightly coloured silk bra under a broderie anglaise blouse …)

I would go for the see through look at the lower half and go just above the knee as mentioned above.

But it depends on the style you want. The other alternative is to measure the dress and go for the nearest equivalent in a slip.

Slight aside, but is that what you’re supposed to do with Rat &Boa dresses? I saw a lovely-looking patterned one on Insta the other day, but when I tracked it down in RL it was completely see through. I was a little surprised!
