Any tips on box colour dye please

Can anyone give me some advice or tips on which box colour dye might suit my hair. I've always thought of myself as having auburn hair but being honest its a boring light brown with quite a lot of grey. I've tried Garnier Olia gloss (cowboy copper) but my hair turned out rather "mauvy". I'd rather try a 24 wash one as I wash my hair everyday so if it turns out to be a disaster it will soon fade. Maybe going lighter might be a better idea.

Any tips gratefully received.

Castings or Nice'n'Easy Semi-Permanent. Go for one near but slightly lighter than your hair colour.

I have light brown hair and I use a dark blonde box colour (nice n easy). The blonde covers the grey and as a softer colour blends well with the brown.

I use the L’Oréal preference one in 6.21 it’s cool toned light brown and it by far the best I’ve used. It’s slightly lighter than my natural colour but I have loads of grey. It covers greys brilliantly, it’s not red based and it fades out nicely between redoing it and doesn’t go orange. I bulk buy it when it’s in offer so I never run out!
