Period swimwear for pre-teen that actually works!

I'm looking for some period bikini bottoms for ND pre-teen for upcoming holiday.

She's very sensory about clothing, and more often than not, clothing gets returned as it doesn't feel right for her.

I ordered some Love Luna bottoms via TU @ Sainsburys for ease of trying on and returning. The fit is good (hooray!), but we have tested them in the bath and they don't work! They just fill up with water!

I have researched other brands like Modibody, but they all have quite restrictive returns policies, and I have no idea on the fit/sizing.

DD is about 5ft 3 and wearing some ladies size 8 clothing, so I'm totally unsure whether to order teens' sizing or ladies' sizing.

I know the bikini bottoms need to fit well to work. Incidentally, the Love Luna ones are age 13-14 and fit well, but still don't work.

Any suggestions for brands that are tried and tested? We're just looking for a couple of pairs of bikini bottoms to be worn under a regular swimsuit.

Oh, and I need them for May half-term, so time is running out.

My daughter used some wuka bikini bottoms under her swimsuit. They seem ok, she hasn't reported any problems. She is 14yo and small for her age, and she has ladies size xs

Modibodi have a very useful size guide on their website which I have found completely accurate for purchasing. I would use that and buy from there.
