What shoes?

I have this dress which I will be wearing to a wedding in June. (Image added but may take a while to be approved, please no comments about dress being frumpy, not current, dowdy and the rest of it).

Struggling to know what shoes to buy. I have dodgy ankles and cannot wear heels unless they are very very chunky. I don't want to be spending money on red/pink shoes which I probably won't have the occasion to wear again so thinking more neutral shades, maybe wedges??

Lovely dress! Not dowdy or frumpy at all.

I’d wear some dressy sandals, maybe gold ones. Flat or a block heel. And some gold jewellery.

No need to wear high heels! I find that people in tall skinny heels look ridiculous these days.

Thank you. My friend (whose daughter is the one getting married) has heels for the photos and has bought trainers to change into for the meal and the dancing!

I'm not sure to be honest - bit of both? It's not a church service, the whole thing is taking place in the same venue which is a historical building rather than a hotel. But the family are not super-formal, and don't bother about not wearing black/red/green whatever or other "rules".

That’s a lovely dress. I’d wear flat gold sandals then change into flip flops or trainers later on. I’ve got a disability and foot problems so I’d not manage all day unless I changed.

Lovely dress! Can I ask where it’s from? I love the colours.
