Birthday gift ideas for a practical sister-in-law who likes simple self-care

Need ideas for a birthday gift for 45 year old lovely Sister in law. She works super hard, but likes quick routines. Need a self care gift or something cool to wear. She likes dog walking and lives in a seaside town. She has a well paid job as a director of a company but buys pretty much everything second hand and all her money goes on kids and doing house renovation. She is very down to earth. Any ideas welcome!

How about a voucher for a facial and back massage? Time to herself and a nice treat.

Merino base layer for dog walking?
Or a cashmere scarf or gloves - again, for dog walking.

Has she specified she wants a self-care gift or something cool to wear? If she’s really practical and ‘no-frills’ then she may be a bit like me and prefer simple and to others potentially boring things that just work really really well and do a useful job. Some of my favourite gifts have been thinks like:

  • a magnetic card wallet for my phone, thin, sleek, does exactly what it’s supposed to do, really well and solves a problem.
  • Magnetic power bank that charges phone. Apple Watch, AirPods and has a fold out stand to prop my phone up.
  • wireless keyboard with a built in touchpad that snaps onto my iPad and turns it into a little laptop
  • waterproof, pretty but tough kneeler cushion for working in the garden
  • Hammock for my gazebo, one of the ones with the metal stand
  • Welly bag that watertight and hangs off the back of the car seat, so I can sit on the edge of the backseat, change into clean shoes, chuck dirty boots/shoes into the bag and avoid getting mud all over the car.

A massage certificate sounds really good, I'd look into that if you can! If she gets her nails or lashes done at some particular salon you can see if they have gift cards as well.
A restaurant voucher could be a good idea too.
If she's sentimental, could be something family-related, like a perpetual calendar with photos.
Also could be an upgrade of something she already has and really likes but you need to know which products she uses to go with it.

Just another thought, my current reported clothing item is my Comfrt Travel hoodie, it has 8 pockets, is beautifully thick, warm and just weighty enough to feel substantial without being a coat
