Mac/trench coat with a hood?

Does anyone have any suggestions for long (ie knee length) lightweight raincoats? I have one from sea salt that is way too thick for warm but rainy days. Looking for something light I can wear over a jumper on rainy spring or even summer days. Something like a mac but that has a hood to keep me dry on the school run. If it’s decent enough to wear on the commute to work that would be a bonus.

Protected Species do this really well. I have a couple.

I'm looking for something similar but would prefer more waist/hip length so it works for longer through the summer without looking too "coaty."

Protected species. They make beautiful coats.

Protected Species here too.
Also they don't crease and they look really good.

this one is knee length if you are average height, and it looks good enough for the commute: Ralph Lauren Hooded Cotton-Blend Balmacaan Coat

I have one that looks really similar to the RL one and it was from Matalan!

I work in the city and it looks quite smart!

I agree with you OP that you need a hood. I find those Burberry macs and similar totally useless. We live in a rainy drizzly country and I spend time making my hair look good. I can’t have rain on it. Umbrellas don’t cut it. I need a proper hood that cuts out all moisture.
