You need a straw hat and a magnetic hat clip (loads available on Amazon).
I've used it on flights with Ryanair/easyJet and they don't seem to care.

Have a look at Scarfe giraffe they have a folding sunhat, I bought one 5 years ago and it's been everywhere, I even wear it i the pool.
