Beauty Pie alternatives?

MoiraRoseIsMyQueen · 08/05/2026 07:28

I’m on the hunt for alternatives to Beauty Pie - it’s been a long-time fave of mine for skincare, but the prices on some of the items I use have more than doubled in the past year or so 😨

However, part of the reason I used it was because I’m a bit clueless about skincare, and this was an easy one-stop shop! So I’d be so grateful if anyone has any alternative recommendations for the following:

  • Retinol night cream
  • Day moisturiser (I use Super Healthy Skin & Japanfusion) - for 40’s perimenopausal, dull and a bit dry/combo skin.
  • Serum or similar - ideally hyaluronic acid (I use their Japanfusion or Triple HA)
  • Cleanser (I use Japanfusion) - so double cleanser or similar

Any product or brand recs would be SO appreciated - I’m quite keen on exploring Korean skincare as I think it has similarities with the Japanfusion range which I love (but again - clueless, wouldn’t know where to start as there’s so much choice!)

Thanks a million in advance 🙏

What’s your skin type?
in terms of cleansing this doesn’t need to be fancy as long as you’re starting with some form of oil based cleanse to break up makeup/spf, and then cleansing skin with a gentle water based. I’ve enjoyed using Superfacialist vitamin c oil cleanser in the past, but also just the Simple cleansing oil.
As a treatment (serum) there are tonnes of HA based products on the market. Byoma are great and affordable, or the Ordinary. Moisturiser- don’t waste money on anything expensive, it just needs to be able to lock hydration into your skin. I do love the byoma moisturising gel creme which is both lightweight and hydrating. Another product I’ve loved and repurchased is the Haruharu black rice essence. It’s used as the first step of your routine and is so plumping and hydrating. If your skin needs moisture definitely consider this (apply before serum). You didn’t mention SPF, however I hope you would also be using this every day? It’s the best anti aging product you can use!

Thank you for this! I’m not even sure I really know my skin type to be honest - I’ve always guessed, but 🤷‍♀️ It’s probably combination - feels tight after a cleanse/shower, but quite enlarged pores across my nose and cheeks from historic oily skin. Tends to get a bit shiny on my nose and forehead by the end of the day. Prone to red patches and uneven tone. So a bit of everything 😂But thank you for your fab advice (and yes, I use the Garnier HA face sunscreen which I love).
