Vinted issues - anyone resolved successfully

Hi all
It had to happen eventually - I royally cocked up today posting some Vinted sales. I scanned the code for a large parcel and then realised that only small InPost lockers were available. As I also had a small parcel I popped that one in instead. As all the parcels also had InPost labels on them with the correct buyer address I hoped that it would work itself out. Unfortunately not. The parcel I put in the locker is now locked to the wrong buyer in Vinted's system so she and I can no longer cancel the order. However on Inpost's system the discrepancy between the two codes ( the one I scanned and the one actually on the parcel) has been noted and the parcel is now on limbo somewhere. So I have a parcel I can't send to a buyer and a buyer who can't receive their parcel. Obviously Vinted are being hopeless but can anyone here help?

@Puppylucky

You can try ringing inpost from the lockers and tell them you put the wrong parcel in.

They can open the locker remotely so you can change the parcel over.

This is only possible if the parcel has not yet been collected.

You can then send the other parcel.

If the parcel has been collected ask the buyer not to collect and it should be returned to you.

Hiya @stopringingme thank you so much for replying. That's really good to know about InPost being able to sort things if I'm quick enough but unfortunately I wasn't. I was hoping to do what you suggested but InPost have now realised there was a problem with the delivery and won't deliver it until Vinted get involved - which is proving difficult to get them to do 🙁

Ah - I was about to reply but mine didn't need Vinted involvement. I posted 2 with digital labels at the same time and the person who picked them up put the labels on the wrong way round. I had to wait for both to be returned to sender, rip the labels off and re-sell to the same people.

Good luck with vinted I doubt they will do anything as as far as they are concerned it has been sent and they will just tell you to wait.

You could try sending an email to legal @ vinted . co . uk ( without the gaps ) they seem to respond quite quickly.

Hopefully inpost don't hold it up and deliver it to one of the buyers or back to you.

Unfortunately InPost won't deliver it, because it has been flagged as having a problem with delivery. Vinted customer service stopped replying to me yesterday, but I will try them again today. My buyer is in limbo as she has paid, but I can't send her the jacket as Vinted thinks it's already been sent. Honestly I can't believe how stupid I was . My only hope is that eventually Vinted will realise that the sale was never completed and refund her. I realise that I will probably never see the parcel that was sent again but at least one of us will be happy.

After a certain time has passed (I think it's 15 working days, so three weeks) Vinted will notice that the item hasn't been delivered and will ask the buyer to confirm if they've received it or not. The buyer hopefully says they haven't, at which point they're refunded and you will still receive the money as compensation. If the buyer isn't on the ball and doesn't alert Vinted that it hasn't been received (they only get two days to confirm), they'll receive nothing and you'll still get paid.
