Has anyone professionally dyed a wedding dress for black tie wear?

Has anyone dyed their wedding dress successfully? Could you recommend a professional if so?

i’m attending a fancy black tie thing this summer and my old wedding dress (floaty silk grecian) would be perfect just not in white.

I haven’t but bear in mind the dress may be silk but the thread may be nylon and therefore will stay white & not absorb the colour, so definitely seek professional help.

I have not but I have seem some incredible ones on Instagram. The thread and lace does not always dye the same but that effect can be magical.

If you will never wear the dress again white, give it a go!

I’d definitely not do it! It will be obvious and look dyed. Black tie doesn’t mean long dress either. Dying means water - will it shrink? I’d just buy a dress! I keep seeing on MN that there’s loads on Vinted.
