I’m a size 18-20 and desperately searching for non frumpy clothes for a short weekend cruise. I need a couple of day time tops and trousers for sightseeing and some more formal wear for evenings (not evening gown type formal but reasonably smart). A nice jacket for day wear. All the usual plus size websites just seem so frumpy to me, so fed up of seeing florals, sequins, hanky hems, waterfall tops. I’m 52 and menopausal so nothing too hot or tight around the middle! Budget not a problem, happy to spend on the right pieces. Any ideas, links etc gratefully received thank you!

Have you tried Nobody's child? Are you looking for plain or patterned trousers? Also for the evening are you looking for trousers or a dress/skirt? This dress in New look is lovely for the evenings & comes in different colours.

Thank you these look promising! I think probably plain trousers as my legs are quite chunky, happy to wear a dress or smart trousers and top for the evenings. I will take a look at those sites, thanks

I'm with you on the plain trousers! So many shops seems to do big bold prints on the bottoms & plain tops, I want them the other way round.

Sosandar might be worth a look. They have tonnes of jacket types, depending on what you are looking for.
