Recommendations for KNICKERS that sit under my cheeks

TheGodlyGirl · 03/05/2026 20:49

Does anyone have great recommendation for knickers that sit under my cheeks and do not cut a diagonal line accentuating how pudgy/flabby my large bum is?
Since have DC I can no longer wear thongs, which were pretty good at mitigating that diagonal line.

I also have chunky thighs so shorts don’t work for me either. And a tummy so they have to be high rise!

I’ve been wearing M&S invisible vpl but think you need muscly glutes for them to work.

I love reading MN with all your
tips and advice. I’ve never posted before. But VPL is real. and I need help!

I pray someone can help me: squat proof, high rise, knickers that sit below the cheeks 🙏

Seems so simple to me!

Lovall full briefs have good coverage and feel comfortable.

horlickstablets · 03/05/2026 20:54

Matalan full brief seamless

Sloggi. Last for years and full coverage!

MakeMineAMilkyTea · 03/05/2026 20:57

British boxers full briefs! Best pants I’ve ever worn!

M&S 5pk Microfibre High Rise Shorts. £12

Despite being called shorts they don't have any legs/thigh coverage.

They're so comfortable and invisible it's like you're not wearing them.

Wirapi from Amazon. Recommended on here. Really good.

I like the look of Sloggis, but even going up several sizes they cut in at the leg hole. I am chubby of thigh but the same thing happens to dd who is a size 4. I gave her my size 12 ones to try and they fit her !

Mcdhotchoc · 03/05/2026 21:07

Sorry wirapa from Amazon

John Lewis full brief Everyday multipack. You can get them in Waitrose. Properly stretchy and comfortable.

I've worn them for years. I have the exact criteria you do and they're perfect.

VividDeer · 03/05/2026 21:11

Having the same problem. So many pairs tried so far
Best, but not perfect are M&S full brief microfibre

Bunnyofhope · 03/05/2026 21:15

Likewise. I want to cover all my undercarriage and butt cheeks, but not my belly button. Why do full coverage ones go up so high?

SirChenjins · 03/05/2026 21:18

Tu full cotton briefs - magical things. I read years ago that you should always buy one size up in knickers for comfort and it's proved to be true.

ArcticBells · 03/05/2026 21:24

The trouble with full size knickers is that when you bend over or stretch, there a huge expanse of knicker showing above your jeans Confused

My jeans go up to my waist - my knickers don't show above the waistband Confused

Absutely sloggi. They keep it all in.

Since have DC I can no longer wear thongs, which were pretty good at mitigating that diagonal line.

Did I miss a memo, can parents not wear thongs anymore? I’m confused. I would just stick to this as it’s pretty rare to find a seamless larger knicker that won’t show.

SpiralSister · 04/05/2026 08:00

Thunderpants Originals, size up. The absolute business. Priced to reflect this, and worth every penny. Promise.

Yes!! My go to was M&S low rise shorts but they’ve changed the style so that they no longer actually cover the bum cheeks 😭😭 I want to be comfortable without having knickers up to my middle x_x

Stripe & Stare - so good. Pricey but so good sales x

I’m going to assume she means they are no longer comfortable for her changed body type as opposed to mothers are not actually allowed to wear thongs!

Wirapa are the best knickers I have ever bought and the only ones I own now.

Yes! And same for snag tights and the like - why do they have to go right up to our ribs when the purpose is just to prevent thigh rub!

Warchfulwaiting · 04/05/2026 08:14

I'm a size 16 and find seamless microfibre thongs more comfy than any big knickers because the big knickers come up too high on the tummy/back and still don't cover the arse cheeks properly. I've never found any that don't creep up my arse. Something is very wrong with knicker shape.
