I’m looking for a present for my friends 50th, she has a very classic look. Always looks groomed and put together (unlike me!). Briget is about £150. She wears pearls, has a few expensive handbags. Anyone any ideas?

Although truthfully it’s a lot to be spending if you’re so unsure you’re having to ask strangers on the internet - who’ve never met your friend - what to get her.

Rouge Hermès: matte and satin lipsticks, balms

Discover Rouge Hermès, a collection dedicated to lip beauty. Explore matte and satin lipsticks, lip balms, and glosses in vibrant, refillable shades, plus universal lip pencils.

She's 50 - does she need more stuff? You have a decent budget, so why not book to take her to the theatre (or whatever....to a literary festival/flower show/ the football,
whatever you both enjoy). Or take her to a proper fine dining restaurant for lunch. The experience, and time with you, will be much more memorable than yet another handbag/scarf/necklace.
Or ask her! She's a grown up, she doesn't need a surprise.

Thanks for the replies. Those scarves are gorgeous.

It’s a present from a few of us, we’re going away for a night and want to give her something.

If it's a present from a few of you maybe a spa weekend or a lovely meal somewhere together. Time spent together is more valuable than more stuff.

Just saw you are going away. How about a lovely vase and some nice flowers.

I think a gift is a lovely idea. Some thing small and unimportant but a luxury that can be kept for ages. And my favourite have always been surprises

my favourite present is a Mont blanc pen and a gorgeous leather pencil case! Not suggesting that but love that Chanel mirror. Chanel lipstick is nice too. Missino scarf/ mulberry handbag/ wallet/ letter opener/ cashmere scarf/ tote bag.

Sort of agree with you about spending a lot and having to ask here. The Hermès lipstick would be no use to me although any Hermès perfume would be wonderful

I'd love any of the large scarves here
