I’ve got a summer black tie event coming up. It’s a work party but I won’t be working (am aware there’s a similar thread for someone who will be working at a black tie event!). I work with a lot of glamorous younger women. I am mid forties and a) do not want to look like the faded/frumpy/mumsy older woman or like a wedding guest next to the glossy young things but b) do not want to tragically emulate the youngsters. I want to feel glam and confident in my own perimenopausal, very pale skin.
I’m medium height, size 10-12, small waist/back/shoulders and big boobs/bum/hips/thighs. I don’t mind showing arms and/or a bit of chest, back, even a bit of cut-out round the midriff. Do mind showing my legs as they are short and shaped like parsnips. Will be wearing gold Esska chunky high heeled sandals. Closer fitting, even body con, looks better than floaty on me. Would wear a dress or jumpsuit.
