I've been invited to a white tie dinner in June and am struggling so thought I'd ask the style mavens for help... I'm 5'7" and a size 18-20 hourglass leaning pear. Autumn so suit jewel tones rather than pastels. Other relevant things are:
- I'm wearing a burgundy/wine colored halo style headpiece made of lace
- The crowd will be a mix of pretty trad and design types. I'd tend to lean either old Hollywood or something more fashion forward
- It'll need to be at least a-line to flow over my hips and still fit elsewhere
- I put weight on whilst unwell so don't want to spend too much on something that I hope won't fit next year. Ideally up to £150 but could maybe stretch if there's a chance I could wear it again
Any suggestions welcome! Anything I've liked so far is either too expensive or velvet which feels weird for June. Also peri so potentially too hot 😅
