Could you tell me what weight dumbbells are you all using for your home workouts and also, could you please recommend your workouts? I am looking for something around 20 minutes that I can do most days. I quite like Jillian Michaels and have her Lift and Shred DVD, but I'd like different ones to mix it up a bit. Usually I don't like Davina (nothing personal), her workouts are way too energetic for me!

I tend to use weights at the gym. But I have some 5kg and 3kg neoprene hand weights to use at home. I don’t follow a workout, I just do 3 x 15 sets each of bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, shoulder press, upright rows, reverse flys and bent over rows on non gym days.

I tend to use around 10kgs

I'm currently using a range from 1.5-6kg, depending on the exercise. I'm slowly building my way back up after a long time of chronic illness. I do a similar set of exercises to @AuntChippy I've lifted weights for years (before my break) so I just made my own routine targeting all the main muscle groups. If you're new to weights I would suggest getting a set of neoprene dumbbells ranging from 1kg to no more than 5kg, you can even start at 0.5kg if need be.

Thanks all, I am mostly doing 3 Kg each hand, for some exercises I can manage 4Kg, but only just.

Just carry on as you are then. Once you can comfortably do 3 sets of 12 reps you should increase the weight.
