Do people take tan pills?

Are they ok? Do they work? Do they make you orange?
wondering if better than a spray

I don't know but my mum who was a nurse said in the 60's they used to soak themselves in a bath with a potassium permanganate tablet, it made them go brown.
We still use it occasionally but for leg ulcer treatments if nothing else works.

If it makes your skin tan, imagine what it does to the inside of your body. No way would I take them, not worth the risk when you can slap cream on or get a spray tan.

I'm not sure all medication turns the inside of your body the same colour as the medication? Imagine the colour of you after you've taken amoxicillin

I had a friend who took them - they had lots of carotene in I think? She did look slightly orange, yes but she was also dedicated to lying in the sun. I think the orange was detracted. No one said anything to her though and she was quite happy with how she looked.

I think that poster was saying if they make your skin tan, imagine what they do to your body on the inside. She didn't say "they're tanned skin colour so that's why you tan using them"

Anyway, no, I don't know of anyone who has used these. I heard about tanning injections I think? But only horror stories on youtube

I make a soup of peppers, carrots and squash. I always look like I have a tan the next day. Worth trying.

years ago as they are carcinogenic?
