Help with my eyebrows please.

I’m in my mid sixties, greying hair and eyebrows, which were over plucked in my younger days, and doing their own thing these days.
I can’t get them waxed as my skin reacted badly when I had it done once. I was OK with threading, but they are so sparse in parts that I need some extra work I think.
I don’t think HD brows are the answer, but I have no clue, so please help me!

HD brows can be very subtle and make a big difference to your face. My practitioner does a natural look, none of the black slug stuff. Otherwise perhaps visit a makeup counter and ask for help with eyebrow makeup?

Find the right person and micro blading is absolutely the perfect way forward.

the right person will show you what they plan to do with a ‘pencil’ before doing the actual strokes. And selects the colour in consultation with you

enjoy.

No answers but your user name made me smile Grin

Eyebrow growth serum does work

I’m also mid 60s and overplucked my brows in my youth, but I’ve had success recently using a mixture of castor oil and rosemary essential oil morning and night. After around six weeks I’ve noticed they are darker, thicker and less “wild”.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 19/04/2026 19:14

Do not get microblading!

Browbeeton · 19/04/2026 19:44

Thank you for responses!
I do have some castor oil so I will try that more regularly.
Conflicting opinions on micro blading I see, I’m actually not sure what it involves to be truthful.
I really would like to find the ‘right person’ to consult, but short of lurking outside a beauty premises to inspect clients who are leaving, I’m not sure how I would choose. I am so not a pampering sort of person.

This may or may not help but I tinted my brows at home using the Eyelure kit until I read on here that using a Just for Men beard dye kit was more cost effective so I gave it a go. I am 100% sure that my brows are now thicker and less sparse!

Am late 50s and when I got my eyebrows shaped and tinted recently the person said I should try micro blading as they are quite patchy - which is more obvious after tinting. Is that a bad idea?

Microblading vote here.

Changed so much for me getting mine done. I will never not have them done now!
