Looking for my perfect walking sandals

My trusty Merrels have a shredded leather footbed and are starting to look very shabby. They are the very first iteration of the Terran lattice, with narrow leather straps which cross either side of my bunion (one foot only) immensely comfortable and not so clumpy that I feel uncomfortable wearing with dresses.
im struggling to find a pair to replace them. Lots I’ve tried look as though they might work but cross on the ‘wrong’ side, ie right over my bunion.
They are similar to the red ones in the first photo, but were the earlier model.
i have tried for example Trespass Kimbra - much too narrow and cross the wrong way. See second photo.
the best ones so far are the FitFlop Gracie with narrow straps. Third photo.
Any other suggestions welcome. I want brown or navy and must be leather. Preferably with adjustable straps - the Fitflops don’t have these and I think may be a bit insubstantial for walking on rougher terrain.

@Fridayismyfunday I have Karrimor brand sandals that are similar to your red ones. However, I’m not sure what styles they do at present as mine are a good few years old, but very comfortable. Might be worth a look.

I like your original sandals. Good thread!

Not quite clear on what the bunion-related requirements are, so these might not work but the Tamaris website has lots of others.
I have two pairs that are fairly similar to these and they’re the only sandals I’ve ever been able to walk long distances in without discomfort.

Would these ones work?

I have them in gold and they are very comfortable for walking. I think they look lovely too.

I have the blowfish ones in black and they are fab for me - smart enough for city but rugged enough with a medium thick sole for further afield. The straps fit around my wonky feet and the bit between the toes means they don't slip.

I have Tevas so comfortable.

Thank you all for some great suggestions, including brands I hadn’t heard of. I think I’d looked at most of the traditional walking shoe brands and couldn’t see anything quite right. The Blowfish ones might work, I’d need to try. The Tamaris ones are lovely but I don’t think so practical for ‘off road’ activities. I’m definitely ordering them though.
@hopsalong the bunion requirement are nothing tight across it or cutting into it. My original ones have two soft, narrow straps which pass either side of the bunion causing no pain. It’s very difficult to find any that meet this requirement!

Have you a Charles Clickard shoe shop near you? They do all the top brands of walking shoes. You reallly do need to go and try on too. I got some Josef Seibel ones to replace a knackered pair. With the Velcro I find it helps with this fit.

I love Teva, there may be something which would suit you.
