Yes, those shoes do look a bit strange!

They are apparently flatform espadrilles. I prefer them to the wedges she usually chooses or the white trainers lots of women seem to favour, but sporty mesh loafers or mary janes would probably have been my personal choice, given the terrain.

Sophie's outfit there is beautiful. Lovely soft colours that suit her well, a smart, modern, pretty silhouette - gorgeous.

Really? I think she looks much taller than that even taking into account shoe height (Im 5ft 4 so not saying theres anything wrong with that height).

I would say that's about right as she does look a fair bit shorter than Kate when they're photographed next to each other. And they are usually both wearing high heels so it evens out.

I saw her once at a garden party and she’s on the shorter side. About 5’3, I’d say.

Sophie’s skirt is by Zimmerman and is currently for sale (it comes with the belt as well) on The Outnet…for a not so bargain priced £338 (original price £750!).

I do love Zimmerman clothes but they seem terribly overpriced.

I loved the white Zimmerman dress Kate wore in Australia and then to Wimbledon but it was completely unlined if you bought it off the shelf!

Maybe Delphine? She likes a bit of a different outfit.

It is similar. I think I would find it odd wearing my mother in laws jewellery. (I would be tempted to go Queen Mary).

Hmm, the only similarity is that Kate’s coat is navy with contrast white lapels. Otherwise the clothes, hat, jewellery and styling (Diana wore a contrast belt and white-tipped shoes) are completely different!

I always think that the contrast lapels look (both worn by Diana often in the 1980s and Kate now in the 2020s) all hark back to much older fashion trends - principally the designs of the 1930s, but they were calling back to the 18th century themselves (and if you watch The Gilded Age you can see how popular contrast features were in the 1870s too). It’s a perennial classic because it looks good, I guess!

Cam's dress is a lovely colour but otherwise dull. Not for me.

I assumed it was a Bottega Veneta - based on the texture, no other factor!

I'm not a fan of true pink on women, but Camilla's gone for a shade that's pale enough not to be too girly or stereotypically feminine and on this occasion I think it's a smart choice for our Queen - sweet is probably exactly the right vibe to be exuding...

Fingers crossed that all goes smoothly and everyone involved stays safe.
