Help please! I am wearing this dress for my son’s wedding next month and I don’t know what to wear over it if the weather isn’t good. I’m wearing champagne gold sandals with it and have a headpiece the same colour as the dress. Can any of you lovely lot find me something suitable to put over it if I need to. I’m thinking gold/champagne colour and Budget up to £100. Thank you

A cropped leather jacket / brown suede jacket would look nice, not with lots of hardware just simple with buttons

What's the problem you are trying to solve? Are you worried it's going to be cold? Wet? How long are you going to be outside for. If it's just to walk from the car to the venue then any coat will do and you hang it up on arrival. Or are you walking miles and then it's a garden party so need something to wear all day?

If it's chilly you can layer underneath too, dont forget. Eg, a half or full slip.

Just if it’s chilly I guess - not used to going anywhere without a coat 🤣🤣 but my anorak won’t look good!! We won’t be outside for long - wedding and reception in a barn. I’m probably overthinking it!

I'd go for a faux fur jacket. But I'm perpetually freezing at the moment!

A leather jacket - biker style, collarless - could look great too.

A Chanel type shape of jacket (jacket as in blazer weight garment, not jacket as in coat/leather/suede jacket). Navy would work well.

A fluffy bolero cardigan or jacket/coverup. A large pashmina type scarf might even do it.

@LydiaFunnyGums thank you so much, that’s kind. I know pashminas get a bad rap on here but I love that! Will work with the sleeves

How about going for a pop or clash of colour? A lightweight cerise velvet jacket or a throw. Pair it with dark green shoes the same as the dress. I think that would look stunning
