Surprise birthday trip to celebrate my birthday, but what do I wear?

Olive colouring, 5ft 2, size 6 bottoms/8-10 top/dress. Don’t like ditsy or animal prints. Size 3.5/4 shoes.

I want to feel stylish.

A bit panicked, too much choice and hopeless at putting outfits together.

I have a few things from ME + EM via Vinted and I feel stylish in all of them. And I rarely feel stylish. 😂 I think the fabrics/materials/cut are great and they feel like they will last forever.

Pointed sling backs either flat or kitten heel, cream tailored trousers, with a leather belt to enhance the outfit, and a black or brown waistcoat style top. Accessorise with a soft slouchy leather bag - similar all available cheaper on Vinted

Plus once worn at your dinner either item can be dressed down for summer - waistcoat with jeans, and cream trousers with white T shirt and trainers, so economical purchases that can be worn lots

I love the purple velvet dress. Looks stylish as well as unfussy.

So many petite ranges are all over the place. It’s hard enough with women’s clothing sizes anyway, then add in unique interpretations of petite for each and every item and it becomes a horror show.
Ive bought petite maxi skirts longer than any regular sized maxi skirt, and they often have weird sleeves and cut smaller as well as shorter, so a petite 12 is actually a smaller than normal 10, or that’s my experience anyway.

That first Sezane one is very nice (I'm a sucker for cutwork embroidery).

I googled that one as it looks lovely. I'm not a fan of Rixo in its entirety, but bits & pieces are lovely. Their prints don't often hit the mark for me, especially the mixed print dresses. The pieces I like best are their wedding clothing!

That is a really nice shape though. I love kimono dresses/jackets, have quite a few, & completely get why you feel glamorous in it. I always do too!!

@BornIn - a better image. It's not so obviously Rixo as other dresses of theirs. And would work for lots of other occasions.

Did you order the Autograph green/brown dress, @BornIn ?? Curious to know if it worked well for you - assuming you're returning to the thread!
