Co-ord or Pyjamas?

I love the look of co-ords it seems everyone on social media is wearing on holiday and in the summer. I tried a couple on in M&S and I looked like I was wearing expensive pyjamas.

What do you all think about this trend? Do I just embrace the pyjamas look and go for it?

I think something in a solid colour, like black, and sleeveless is the way to go. For me anyway.

I am on the look out for a black structure sleeveless top and wide leg bottoms…

a bit like this but linen

I pretty much live in these style sets!
I wear a different colour cardi, blazer, bomber jacket over them and usually some casual runners to match the outerwear.

However, I have a very unique style and people would regularly think by the sets or prints I like that I'm in pj's.... but I dont particularly care what people think 😂 So for me it doesn't particularly matter if it looks like pj's. And it definitely sometimes does... my husband regularly asks are they pj's or actual clothes.

But I totally get some people wouldn't be comfortable in a co-ord set. I think a more structured style might suit a 1st timer 😂

Why are these husbands getting to decide what posters want to wear?! Can we please stop making men the arbiters of what we are comfortable in, what we enjoy the look, feel or even idea of! I wish people were a bit braver with what they wear.

Yet you seem to think you can tell other people what not to wear.....
Strange that.

It's very Lucille Ball I think.

I have got a few nightdresses that I wear as dresses in the summer. I suppose it's the same thing.

Have you really got nothing better to do? The poster on that thread asked for opinions.

I think they look less pyjama-like if you can wear the top open with a vest top under it.

minnowonthesay · 19/04/2026 06:48

I don’t think these look like PJ’s

Co-ord or Pyjamas?

I think they all look a little naff, tbh. The only women I see wearing them seem to have a specific trout pout/tattooed eyebrows/massive eyelashes look. A lot of polyester. Not my bag but it’s definitely a theme I associate.

A floaty linen set for holiday sounds nice but, yes, pyjamas!

mcmuffin22 · 19/04/2026 11:31

They don't look pyjama like to me.... they just look a bit 80s naff. Like something bought off the market stall for holiday.

You need to get out more!

@Comebypig i think you and I would get on. I think it’s all about how you style them!

I don't like many of these, I'd end up wearing them as separates with diff tops and bottoms. Sadly this is the second trend this season I will not want to follow. The other is the bomber jackets with no waistband and big tucks. They look like they are unfinished garments to me.
