Please can you recommend a smart showerproof Spring jacket

I am looking to buy a jacket for Spring and maybe rest of the year. Something warm but light and showerproof, also reasonably smart. I don't like puffer jackets as I am short and don't want to look like the Michelin man. I like waxed jackets but they are too heavy.

I did have a thinsulate one (which was the inside of a jacket issued on a cruise), which was navy and worked well but has gone AWOL, I don't know what make it was, I think Helly Hansen? I don't mind paying a bit for the right jacket, maybe up to £150 and I prefer Autumn colours. Something smart but practical. It sounds straightforward but I am struggling to find something.

Try Protected Species or Rains . Absolutely completely waterproof and both have unlined for summer.

I have this and really like it. It’s water repellent not waterproof but sounds like that’s enough?

In the pictures it’s shown with a slightly blouson shape, there is a drawstring to create this shape but if left loose it’s more of a swing shape which looks a bit smarter IMO.

PS I’m also short and find most jackets unflatteringly long but this one isn’t.

Dd has the Uniqlo one mentioned and it’s really nice!

I have an earlier version of this, for exactly the purposes you’ve given. It is excellent.

Just to add M&S has a short parka similar to the uniqlo one - actually 2 versions, one waterproof one not. Less choice of colours though.
