Recommendations for neat ankle-grazer barrel leg trousers and yoga trousers

I need some (very slightly) barrel leg trousers for work, ankle grazing, just a bit loose without being flappy and baggy. I posted for some linen ones recently (thank you next!) But would like some in a slightly thicker fabric, work appropriate. Just neat trousers with a modern cut other than the traditional taper. Any ideas?

Oo while I'm at it, some yoga pants in the same sort of shape too? 😊

Uniqlo barrel legs are lovely. The jersey ones look really smart.

Another vote for the Uniqlo barrel jersey - I have them in navy and they’re very versatile.

I love the Uniqlo jersey barrel leg trousers too. I have them in 3 colours. So comfortable, cheap and look smart.

I love the poetry high waist ones they are thick linen like denim. I had to put mine on eBay as I slimmed out of them so looking for a smaller size.

I have Hush barrel leg trousers in both black and brown and really like them - I like a big flappy jean but these are very neat. You can actually get them via M&S for easy ordering/returns.

I do reformer and wear sports legging type things with flared bottoms, those are what I think of as yoga pants.

Jumping in to say I'm very wary of pull on trousers or wide legs as I have a very flat bottom and round tummy so the size that usually fits my waist is way too big at the hips. Often I could fit a whole extra bottom in there!
Any suggestions for brands that would suit?

Uniqlo ones look a little wider than I was looking for, it's a delicate balance when you're short! The next linen ones just give a hunt of the shaping rather than be very wide so they work well. They need to be ankle grazing for me too.

As for yoga pants, I suppose I want something looser than leggings, along these lines and not flappy at the ankle.

Sorry just saw your post !
the comptoir de cottoniers by uniqo are a nice slimmer barrel shape than their other barrel ones

ItsmeMargo · 12/04/2026 12:51

Cos for the barrel leg work trousers.

Just got the m and s ones, perfect for smarter wear! Just need some navy ones now I think, maybe cotton/chino fabric.
