I thought they had gone out of fashion.

Well they have but people don’t just chuck out all their shoes as they go out of fashion,

Apparently they have gone out of fashion but the trainers that are ‘in fashion’ look ridiculous so I’m quite happy as I am thank you very much. I have a denim jacket too.

I feel white trainers for spring / summer are classic basics, rather than something that’s in fashion. I will be wearing them.

I’m also still wearing my white trainers and very ancient denim jacket. Staple of the wardrobe. DD, in her mid 20’s wears the same so am feeling good!

I’m in Italy currently and I’ve seen white trainers, leopard print trainers, and silver/gold ones. All paired with different kinds of outfits, from cotton dresses to animal print barrel jeans. I’ve only seen one woman in black leggings. Everyone looks decent.

No I’m not in Italy unfortunately, I think it’s just an example of what people are wearing.

They actually did. It went to colourful and for those who didn’t want colour, cream or tan.

Yeah will just have to disagree. I have tons of colourful Addidas trainers orange, pink, silver, turquoise. But clean white dainty trainers in my opinion will never go out of fashion. They’re a summer staple. If I was wearing a short red pattern tea dress for example, colourful trainers would look awful, but plain, white canvas ones would look great. I buy a new white pair every April, because I hate dirty, white trainers.
