I wouldnt go with anything too floaty on the bottom half, it would look too incongruous.
Id either balance it out with a cropped/boxy top or fitted top or if you can pull off the 'cool girl' look then its an oversized jumper with a hint of white tee underneath.
Also socks are a must!😃

It depends whether you want to look good, or to look fashionable.

If you want to look good try everything on̈ in front of a full-length mirror, make sure you can see the back view, too.
Then decide what looks best on you.

If you want to look fashionable instead, ask MN. You'll get some firm views but they may well not suit you.

I like the sound of that. I just need a change really, today i have wide leg jeans on with side buttons kinda 70s style with a thin knit dusky pink leopard print jumper and chunky beige steve madden tazmainia trainers.

Kinda fashionable but definitely good. Im 5"8 and size 14. Im fed up with trainers and with the weather getting a tad better (scotland) i want to feel good 😃.

I actually think they look great with floral/floaty styles. As per other thread, better than white trainers!! Personally love a chunky loafer with a little slip dress 90s style (with a t-shirt underneath). That whole 90s look was about pairing feminine floral pieces with chunky shoes and I’m here for it!

I have a pair quite similar to the second pair you posted but leather and I wear them with loads of different outfits - they look good with most things imo!

Ooohhhh I actually never thought of 90s style, god that brings back memories wearing the scrappy dresses with the white t shirt and the crocodile loafers or big docs!

Need to invest in a pair of pink John lennon shades too 😎
