Sports bras

Not really style or beauty, but I thought this might be the best board to ask for recommendations.

I always used Shock Absorber but I think the quality has deteriorated (they’ve been taken over by Champion I think).

So I’d like recommendations for good, supportive sports bras that will last a reasonable length of time.

I’ve a small and saggy bust unfortunately so it needs a bit of lift, and I exercise a lot (weights and yoga).

Would like to try some ethical brands and sustainable fabrics if there are any.

What is your go-to sports bra brand?

This bra was recommended in a running magazine when I was looking for one, and its brilliant. Really comfy and supportive.

I recommend the Decathlon ones. Best to buy in store if you can get to one. I also have a good TU/Sainsbury one. Both high impact. I have a M&S one but like it least of all.

Great, thank you both. I think I’m going to have to go to a shop and try some on 😩 Absolutely hate shopping but needs must. At least once I’ve found a style and size that works, I can then just order more of the same online!

I'm loathe to recommend it, because I don't like the website design and it's nowhere near as good as Lessbounce was, but Boobydoo does have a good filtering system, so you could look for bras with the same features and properties as your old shockabsorber ones.

I used to be very loyal to Shock Absorber, but much prefer these now.

Thank you so much for the recommendations. 🙂

I don't have recommendations but am interested in this myself. I agree about SA too. Last year I retired a twenty year old Shock Absorber, I kid you not! I replaced it with the latest version of the same thing, and was over the moon when I found it online for about £20, my twenty year old one had cost £50 at the time. However the one I got last year has now broken (the clips came out) and you can see the quality isn't the same just by looking at it.

Thanks @IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads, I’ve just ordered one. They look a very similar style to the Shock Absorber ones I (used to) like, and a good price too.

@toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 It’s disappointing isn’t it. I hate choosing and buying clothes of any sort and find it stressful. I like it when I have a tried and tested ‘old faithful’ that I can order again without having to browse. So it was crap to discover Shock Absorber had gone downhill.
