Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this! I was going to say they look like something that came out of a peat bog or some permafrost. Like you'd expect to find the rest of the old tattered outfit next to them. Seriously ugly, scruffy shoes.

What make are they?

They look much better on you than in the first picture.

I like the ones without the bow they suit you and look good.

They’re probably one of the nicest pair of loafers, style and colour wise, I’ve seen in a while and are much better than the boring black leather ones you see on Insta.

The tan ones look more 'normal' and sensible and boring yet chic enough. The greyish ones are more interesting. Fwiw I don't think either of them are bad and am not understanding the hate.

I bought the ones on the right last season in chocolate brown and returned them because they were really really uncomfortable. The big lumpy seam on the outside is also a big lumpy seam on the inside, unfortunately.

I know they're in fashion but they're utterly disgusting. You have nice ankles (not a pervert) and they probably look as good as you as on anybody. The bumholes comment has killed me though. 😂 Are you sure you won't think of this every time you look at them?

I’m not sure they say ‘formal or business’ they are a bit sharpei slipper arsehole megamix. I’m watching as I’m trying to find ‘work’ shoes and hoping you can (so I can stop looking!)

I know I watch too many crime programmes as they made me think of these.

They are not attractive at all in my opinion, even in the better photos.

I think if I saw someone wearing these, I would assume that they have forgotten to change out of their slippers before leaving the house. Suede is such high maintenance as well - looks gorgeous brand new until it is marked.

If you love them though, go for it. But be prepared for someone to make a comment about slippers!

I prefer these! And I like actually rather like them.

Are they the epitome of style? No.

But they look quite nice, comfortable and are just “stylish / business” enough to work as business casual (at least where I work).

The suede won’t stay looking like this, however! But if you take care of it (and use a soft brush) it will last longer than one might expect. At least ime.

The one with the snaffle. I’m not a fan of the puckering / Cornish pasty effect on the others.
