Bras and fitting for large bust

Cutie101 · 06/04/2026 22:48

I have a large bust. 32H at last measure but weight gain means my bras are now not the right fit. I need a proper fitting and some good bras as I'm so big. I usually go to bravissimo but I'm not planning a trip into London (which is my closest), previously I've never found marks and Spencer bras good enough. Where do you all go and what bras do you buy aside from bravissimo? Or is my answer I need to get myself into London before the nice weather so that I have a bra that doesn't look awful under my tighter fitting t-shirts (everything has been hidden under jumpers for months now!).
Are the bras I keep seeing on Facebook possibly as good as they seem (I can't remember the name of them).
Thank you all in advance

John Lewis also works but tbh I tend to order a fuckload from bravissimo and send some back

DelilahBucket · 06/04/2026 22:50

I order online from Bravissimo. Not found another company that compares.

I sometimes buy from Bravissimo but tend to buy Freya bras as they fit really well. I'm 34HH. I also buy bras from eBay as they are much better priced for brand new items.

I usually order a load from bravissimo and try them on at home (and I can get to a store easily!).

I'd play with slightly bigger than your current ones - so pick a style you know fits and the order some with increased band size, cup size and both.

Do they still have phone customer service? They used to be quite knowledgable but I've not done that for years and years.

I'm a 30JJ and Bravissimo is my only option, except a small independent you'd need a mortgage for.
I'm putting off my annual visit as my boobs have grown again and I can't bear the misery of it.

Do you have a branch of Rigby and Peller in your nearest town? Bravisimo now offer fittings over Zoom.

dreamlove · 07/04/2026 02:55

I use Bella Rosa (Instagram or she has a website)
I know my size but she also does online fitting and you can have bras sent out to try as well
bravissimo doesn’t fit me well so I tend to go for Polish bras

Thank you all so much. I think I somehow need to find the time to get into London to visit bravissimo. Annoying there is nothing closer but they are it seems still the best around!

If you know which brand and style you find comfortable, just order that in a bigger band size and another in a bigger cup size maybe?

Netaporter · 08/04/2026 03:59

@Cutie101 definitely second a visit to Rigby & Peller - especially if you are coming into London already. It was life changing for me 25+ years ago. Top tip - buy one only if the bras suggested then look online for more after your fitting. Hope you find what you are looking for.

OP, Bravissimo offer surprisingly useful online consultations. I was skeptical about fitting a bra online. But it works.

Torchout · 08/04/2026 06:30

I cant believe people pay over £100 for a single bra. I think £30 is a lot. Im a 36GG and buy Curvy Kate as they fit me well. I'll quite happily buy from brastop where you could get 10 decent quality bras for one Rigby & Peller

Hi OP, here in solidarity with you. My boobs keep getting bigger and I’m constantly on the look out for the elusive comfortable and supportive bra. I plan to pay a visit to Bravissimo too in a few weeks and get properly fitted, But might I suggest a temporary option? I discovered this bra in M&S and it’s fab! Works so well under a tshirt. And comfortable to boot. I got this in a 34G and very happy with it. If the link doesn’t work it’s the M&S lace non padded bralette. £22.
