Do cropped jackets suit an apple shape?

Now the weather is feeling warmer, im looking for more stylish jackets. Ive realised my khaki long shacket just isnt my colour. I wear a lot of bootcut or wide legged jeans. 5ft 6 and carry weight on my stomach/struggle with bloating. Any tips on jackets? Im a cool winter

I think if you get the right cut and length they look really good with wide leg jeans. So if the jacket was short and cut fairly straight rather than fitted.

If you can wear jeans from mainstream shops then you do not have such a significantly strange or unusual shape that it needs thinking about before buying a jacket.
