Warm pants for a cold holiday

I’m after some advice please.
Going on my first overseas trip in a few months. From Australia, travelling to South Island of New Zealand, where it will be pretty cold.
Years ago, I made a promise to myself, never to wear Tracky pants ever again, too daggy and unflattering.
Now I am thinking I am going to need some warmer pants.
Any ideas for what ICAN look for, without falling back on fleece track pants.

Trackky pants have come a long way over the years and there are much more flattering styles out there these days. The ones without the elastic gathered ankles especially. Have you checked any out online ?

You can buy lined walking trousers from most outdoor shops - Craghoppers, Mountain Warehouse etc

Uniqlo do some that aren’t too expensive. Or their heat tech leggings might be good for under trousers you already own.
