I got a bit tweezer happy when plucking my eyebrows. No picture needed - they look awful 🫣

I've bought some brow pomade. Never used it. No idea how to use it.

Do these brows look like slugs on my face? Do they look awful?

Honesty only please. Any tips welcome 😃

It’s hard to tell without seeing the rest of your face, but they look ok on that photo.

Blarn · 01/04/2026 13:42

From that tiny photo they are not awful... but not amazing either. Could you try a fibre browser mascara instead. Quite forgiving.

Seagroves · 01/04/2026 13:51

They look a bit much to me but your photo is up close.

ImogenBrocklehurst · 01/04/2026 13:57

I would say you need to blend much more with a spoolie. Then maybe a clear brow fix on top. When you do them next time, maybe a start with a little less and build up. 🙂

LargeAmericanoQuick · 01/04/2026 13:57

Seems fine to me. It would depend on your features. We can't really tell without seeing your colouring, but they don't look bad out of context.

I've seen a lot worse.

SpidersAreShitheads · 01/04/2026 14:01

What colour is your hair?

My first reaction is that they seem a wee bit too dark (sorry).

FeliciaFancybottom · 01/04/2026 14:02

I'm assuming the clumps of dark brown stuff is the pomade? They'd look better without it.

CookingFatCat · 01/04/2026 14:05

I would comb through with a clean mascara wand to get some more definition.

Boustany · 01/04/2026 14:06

It's not really possible to see what you've plucked in the picture as it's out of focus and we can't see the actual shape of the brow, just the make up. The pomade is too dark and lumpy. Can you do another photo without make up?

BetsyRegards · 01/04/2026 15:42

Yes … You probably need a lighter touch and to start by gently filling in gappy areas. The arch should be the darkest part, with the hair closest to the bridge of your nose the lightest.

Once you’ve added the colour you need to brush through and upwards with an empty spoolie (I believe they’re called) until you achieve the desired effect.

Pomade takes a bit of experimenting with to get right. As others have pointed out, you might ideally use a less dark colour - how expensive was this pot?

MrsWhites · 01/04/2026 17:25

You need to apply the pomade in small hair like strokes rather than solid blocks, then brush through with a brow brush to blend it all out.

tryandbepositive · 01/04/2026 17:26

If you have very dark hair and lovely eyes, they will frame it fine.

Chewbecca · 01/04/2026 17:26

Not bad but could do better! They look very dark - how does that compare with your hair colour? Can you try again a little more light handed?

DriveVerySlowlyPastNumber23IWantThemToSeeMyHat · 01/04/2026 19:30

Thankyou for your comments 😊

I've tried another photo but it's still unfocused. My camera isn't good 😬

I have black hair and blue eyes 🙂

My biggest issue with my brows is I've over plucked them so they start part way across my eyes. I feel they make my face looked even wider because of the gap between brows 😐

I've also got an eyebrow pen if that's better?

I don’t think they’re awful at all! They are full and maybe slightly darker? but certainly not awful. You could consider having them shaped and laminated at a salon.

Look at Elizabeth Taylor’s eyebrows, one of the most beautiful woman ever. You’re not dissimilar
