Well pleased with this - as you can see I had gel nails for a while and I never ever ever learn. Anyway had them removed and they were worse than I thought all sore as well. Bought this and I have to say I am astonished! See pics! Also using nailacton at night and jojoba oil also but it's this product that helps with the way they look iukwim. Off for a dog walk now so hopefully the pics won't take too long to upload 😊

how can I make sure I uploaded the pics 🤦🏻‍♀️

Weirdly enough I was also going to post about Manucurist. I've been doing the keratin treatment for a couple of days - also freshly post gel nails -and it's made a huge difference. I bought the active blur as well but I haven't used it yet as the keratin treatment suggests three times a day for a week so I'm going to follow that before the blur. My nails looked absolutely terrible before but they look so much better so I'm holding out high hopes for the blur.

I was bought the advent calendar as a gift and the various treatments and serums have been really good for my nails. I like active shine. It makes my nails look healthy and pretty

I've been tempted to buy this, I really like how it looks on the nails. Does it last well or does it peel or flake?

faustina · 31/03/2026 15:11

I've tried several different things from the Manicurist Active range and they're great aren't they? Currently using the Active Blur, but I liked the Active Smooth and the Plump (covers ridges). It lasts for ages without chipping too!

It's holding up so far @PublicHare

I've been using the raspberry coloured 'soap nails' for the last 12 months. Lovely. Doesn't help growth and my cuticles still look dreadful but my nails look lovely for a few days!

PublicHare · 31/03/2026 20:06

Good to hear Smile

Manucurist just got a new customer!

OhFuckyNell · 01/04/2026 07:37

i also got the shine one as well but that's too attention seeking for my poor nails atm - it will look good in the summer when (hopefully) my nails have recovered a bit. If you ever see me in a nail shop please drag me out ... 😂

Polish just peels off my nails, no matter what I.do. I tried the Active Glow last September on one nail. Forgot it and realised weeks later it was still there. Since bought it and it stays put. Only if I use one coat mind. Look at vinted, got my new bottle for 8 quid.

Scruffysquirrels · 01/04/2026 09:37

I love all the Manucurist "Active" polishes. I've seen the new Blur advertised and am looking forward to trying it.

I also swtiched because Gel was doing so much harm to my nails. These are much easier to apply, without looking a mess, than ordinary polish and you can build up layers to give a more "painted" look if you want.

golddiamond · 01/04/2026 09:38

Bought some Blur after reading this.

BreezyMintHiker · 01/04/2026 09:40

I’ve got the Active Smooth and it’s brilliant. Really transforms nails and it’s the nicest colour I’ve ever found.

Ginismyfriend · 01/04/2026 09:46

I love the Active Glow. I have a tremor which makes using most nail polishes impossible but it makes me look more ‘finished’ than just using clear and is very forgiving of me blobbing it all over the shop 😀

PublicHare · 01/04/2026 10:08

the Shine does look really pretty too...

I like them a lot too. I used their 3 step damaged nail kit after gels and it really helped.

I would also recommend their remover - it's oily and not as quick as an acetone one, but it's so much gentler. I see a huge difference when I use it.
