Mother of the bride outfit ideas for a casual May wedding

I have looked through some of the wedding guests threads. I have decided that I am just the weirdest shape ever and can not find anything that will work for me.

I am 5ft6 size 14. I have a large tummy and am pretty straight up and down. Many dresses seem to swamp me. I look like I am wearing a nightie if I wear anything too flouncy or flowery pattern. I prefer to hide my stomach and have sleeves

I am older and I am the MOTB. The wedding is very casual. The bride has a blueish colour scheme but doesnt mind what type of blue. I think navy looks too dark? However I am losing all sense of what works at the moment.

Just for a bit of pressure the wedding is in May

You obviously don’t have to wear a dress if you don’t feel your best in them. How about a trouser suit, or a really good blouse and trousers?

Thank you can spend quite a lot or the right outfit. Up to £500 but happilly spend less.

I do like Cos clothing and do wear it. I think I woud prefer a dress as it would be a complete outfit.
